Recently when I interviewed some web leaders, I asked when the next dances are to going to be and what the themes are. They said the one in February will be a valentine’s dance on the 12th. The theme is valentines; for example there are going to be hearts all over and the cups and the plates might be red or pink; you know, valentines colors.

The last dance will be the 8th grade promotion dance that will only include 8th graders.

I also asked if the lights are going to be on or off, because I noticed at our first dance the lights were kind of on. One of the web leaders, my friend Sophia Abe said, “We didn’t have time to turn off the lights because we were so busy. But for sure the next dance the lights are going to be off because we are going to have glow sticks,” my opinion is that, I think that will be cool, I mean, I mostly could dance when it’s dark because I don’t have to worry people staring at me and laughing when I am dancing.

One of the most important questions I asked was, “do you have to have good behavior, good grades to go?” Because I know most students either don’t have good behavior or good grades to go.  Sophia answered “yes, you do”.

I really wanted to know if there is going to be games or any kind of activities at the dance so I asked. “Yes there is going to be booth games.” For example like I there are going to be games where you throw stuff, and win prizes.

Another question that popped in my head was what kind of rules they have for decorating? She answered “we don’t really have rules, we just come up with ideas and share with people and of course they have to be appropriate.”

One of the questions that one of my team mates helped me come up with was; “what do they usually do in class?”
She said, “We learn about how to be a leader and help people and learn about leader Ship skill.” So I think they would help a lot of people and they would be involved in a lot of charity work.

I had to ask if they had fun in that class because most people actually have fun in their classes. It turned out that most web leaders do have fun. I Mean, I could imagine they always have activities going on outside, and they always play games with other grades.

I wanted to know if they all came up with the ideas for special events; So I asked. They said, “well, we all mostly do as a team.”

One main question I wanted to know was that do they have special jobs? If so, do they change jobs every quarter or just have that job the whole year?         They said, “Some people don’t really have jobs. But we have some kinds of jobs like for example; officers, president, vise president and some more.”

Everyone is the web leader class decide who should like do the themes and everything for the dance, then they vote on a person. So that person becomes the head of the commitee.

8th grade interview

I interviewed 8th graders and asked them questions about the school year, and what they plan on doing when they leave La Cima Middle School. Here is what I asked them:

“Do you like how this year is going so far, and why?” Some of them said “No because there are too many rules. Last year there weren’t as many rules and everything was alright.” Another person that said “no was because the rules were too strict.”

Another question I asked was, “Are you excited to leave middle school?” Most of the people I interviewed said “yes because you have more freedom and could do way more.” But others also said, “No, you have to work harder.”

I asked, “Which year was the best year from this school, 6th, 7th, or 8th?” The one that was voted for most was 7th grade.

All of the people I interviewed had said yes when I asked “Do you plan on going to college?”

And the last question I asked was “What high school do you plan on going to?” There were many different answers, some said CDO, Ironwoodrige, Amphi, Flowing Wells, and others. From this interview I found out what some of the 8th grade students had thought about the school year here.
